Zeeland is a city in Ottawa County, south west of Grand Rapids toward the lakeshore of Lake Michigan. It was named after the home province of mid-19th century immigrants from the Netherlands, Zeeland proudly retains a touch of Dutch. It is approximately 25 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids and 20 minutes to Holland State Park for access to Lake Michigan. This makes it a great place for people to commute in either direction. It is home to several world-renowned companies such as Plascore, Herman Miller, Howard Miller, Gentex and Mead Johnson just to name a few. The City of Zeeland has 9 parks for playing and gathering. Our parks include a splash pad, skating rink, pickleball fields, to tot lots. It has a delightful downtown area featuring several restaurants and independent shops, they also host a year-long calendar of events including hometown-style holiday events, Pumpkinfest, Zeelmania, Zummerfest, Dogorama, Zeeland Zoom 5k run, and more!
